Do you enjoy poetry?

A Happy New Year to everyone. Let’s hope 2023 brings peace, time to read and take a moment.

Above you will see all my poetry books. My aim is to write poetry that is accessible to everyone and that will touch your emotions. Hopefully you can find poems in these books that will make you laugh, or give you pause for reflection.

The Shadows of Love is the only themed book, but it’s about all forms of love – some more comforting than others. My latest book, A Patchwork of Poems, is written largely from writing prompts, but also contains some pure observations of life, some fantasy ideas and some humour. Nature’s Gold and Autumn Gold both have poems celebrating the joy of nature and a mix of other poems.

All my poetry books are £5 for the paperback and FREE on Kindle Unlimited.

I hope you can find something you can enjoy.

New Poetry Book: The Shadows of Love

My new poetry book is out on Amazon’s Kindle for £1.99 here. ‘The Shadows of Love’ explores the different emotions that we call love and the different stages. There are poems in different forms and genre, but all link to love in one way or another.

Here’s one of the poems:

The Shadows of Love

A remembered kiss;
the touch of your hands,
through the distance of time,
in faraway lands.

The songs that you sang,
of love everlasting,
now are poignant – untrue
as our feelings are passing.

And all that we knew
of a love that was strong,
we threw to the sky.
I think we were wrong,

to pass by a friendship,
and a passion like fire;
then I remember betrayal
and that you were a liar.

Yet sometimes I wander
through the winter of time
with the shadows of love
and still wish you were mine.

Why not let me know what you think of the poems and share some of your own!
